no-lye relaxer

We decided to test the SoftSheen-Carson Dark and Lovely Triple Nourished Silkening No-Lye Relaxer with Shea Butter, Regular and weren't entirely sure what to expect. The packaging promised shea butter infusion and triple nourishment, all without the harshness of a lye-based formula. Applying it was a familiar process, but the lightweight, shea-infused consistency felt different—we found it easier to manage than traditional relaxers. After the processing time, we couldn’t help but notice our hair felt smoother and less frizzy, with a hint of moisture we hadn’t anticipated from a relaxer. While it didn’t eliminate relaxer effects, the shea butter seemed to soften the experience, leaving our hair glistening. We've been curious about whether the results last beyond the first wash, but for now, we're impressed with the blend of strength and nourishment.
