Holiday Surprise: HP 14 vs. Intel Celeron—Tested, Compared

We recently unpacked the HP 14 (14-dq0040nr) to test its capabilities firsthand. ours is a compact, snowflake-white laptop with a micro-edge HD display that impresses even in its modest resolution. Powered by the Intel Celeron N4020, we found it surprisingly responsive for basic tasks like web browsing and document editing. The 4GB RAM tasks us occasionally but handles multitasking reasonably well, and the 64GB storage keeps us organized without overwhelming the system. What stood out, though, was the included year of Microsoft 365—a hidden gem in an affordable package. While 4K graphics are a stretch, our tests show this HP 14 shines as a versatile, portable companion for casual users. It’s a mix of trade-offs, but for holiday gifting, it’s a thoughtful, budget-conscious surprise.
